The city is famous for the Taal Volcano and Taal Heritage Town, which attract many visitors a year. With several crossings a day, Batangas Port is primarily used for travellers to access the popular tourist destination of Puerto Galera. The sailing takes roughly 90 minutes and arrives at the Muelle Pier. Despite its location in a friendly, bustling city, Batangas Port can be troublesome; foreign visitors are advised to be extra careful when buying tickets and make sure all purchases are made through official services.

Being a purely domestic port, Cebu Port only serves to other islands belonging to the Philippines. Five companies are in operation from Cebu Port, all offering daily crossings to Bohol Island Port, Cagayan De Oro Port, Danao Port and Ilo-ilo Port. Each ferry route runs around one or two times per day, typically leaving in the early morning and lasting for around two hours.
