"Good find and good service "
Found direct ferries site when looking for short visit to France. Excellent booking service cost considerably less for same crossing if we had booked via Brittany ferries directly. Smooth check in at both ports. Good facilities on board.

"A very smooth trip"
A smooth crossing and a smooth professional experience on the overnight Portsmouth Crossing to Caen. The staff were always helpful and friendly, the over night cabin was surprisingly a comfortable experience, with a gentle alarm call about an hour before docking. For those that don't want an early night there are various on board entertainments ie a film centre, bar with a singer. A continental breakfast is available in the morning.

Good well equipped ferries.bright and clean, free wifi. Good food. Enjoyed the cinema. I think the price from Portsmouth to Caen is rather expensive.Only took this ferry to save on the driving time in France. Would consider taking my caravan over to France if the price was lower.

"What a great way to cross the English Channel"
On my very first trip to Europe I spent some time in London and then ventured over to France by way of ferry. The journey was to be several hours so I booked a cabin. I purchased a snack and a glass of wine once on board and returned to my cabin to eat and rest. The journey was smooth and having the opportunity to eat and rest while the time passed worked very well for me.

From queuing to board, to eating, to shopping, to landing the whole Brittany Ferries experience is effortless. Its seamless. Its comfortable. The food is tasty. The wine is wet. There is lots of space to move around and find a place to have a quiet chat or read. Setting off from Portsmouth was a pleasure in itself with such a wealth of historical stuff to see - The Mary Rose being the icing on the cake. And if retail therapy floats your boat the shopping outlet on the quay side has a vast array of shops and eateries to suit all tastes. Just over five hours later you are in a brilliant part of France with very little traffic, fabulous plat de jours, very drinkable wine for two euros a bottle. I worked out that the savings I made on a boot full of wine paid for the week long trip. Book up and enjoy!

"Good ferry service"
Portsmouth is a good location for us living in the midlands & Caen gets you to a good point in France to head on south. This service avoids going near Calais & getting into 'trouble'! We had a day cabin this trip which proved very nice & useful, as we were very tired.

"Last Minute Booking - Thank you!"
After a solo cycling/camping trip came to a premature end due to injury, I desperately wanted to get home. The ferry booking online was a simple-stepped process and when I arrived the 'waiting facilities' were welcomed. The staff at the port and the boarding staff were most helpful -my bicycle and panniers were secured in the hold, with the staff assuring me they would be safe - and they were!. The food onboard was fresh, reasonably priced and tasted wonderful. My cool, clean cabin was a like luxury after a weeks camping. Again breakfast was fresh and reasonably priced. Thank you for a first class service from Caen to Portsmouth - I'll be back.

Having spent a lot of time on Dover/Calais and Dublin/Holyhead ferries I can confidently say that these ferries were head and shoulders above them in terms of facilities, room on board, food and general cleanliness. Very pleased we pucked this route for our holiday in France and do our best to avoid the horrorshow of Dover/Calais in future!
