Helgoline

Helgoline is a German ferry operator based in the tiny Heligoland archipelago within the namesake bight, nestling the southeast corner of the North Sea, linking the main island with Hamburg and Cuxhaven.

Boasting a newly acquired, ultra-modern catamaran, as of 2018, Helgoline is leading the way in ferry transportation to Germany’s offshore islands. Spanning over two decks, the vessel accommodates up to 692 passengers with its 228 square-metre sundeck, generously sized VIP balconies and a 20% increase of seats from the previous ship, Halunder Jet. It’s from the top deck where you’ll find the best panoramic views of the Elbe and surrounding islets, so be sure to spend some time here during the crossing.

Built with the most current technologies available, including a state-of-the-art motion damping system, comfort and reliability are paramount when travelling with Helgoline. These handy features allow for smooth sailing across the North Sea, even when cruising at the ship’s impressive speed of 35 knots. In terms of the on-board experience, customers are offered USB ports in every seat, food and beverage services, experienced crew members on hand to help with any issues or queries, and excellent mobility access throughout.
