Found on the north coast of Sicily, an island laying off the south west coast of Italy, Milazzo Port borders the Mediterranean Sea. It is used to connect passengers to other islands neighbouring Sicily, and to coastal resorts residing on the coast of mainland Italy. Stagnated by its tag as an industrial town, Milazzo isn’t as popular with tourists as other Italian holiday destinations. However, the lack of sights and beauty masks the hidden treasures lying in the old town; the quaint buildings and sleepy cafes are perfect for whiling away an afternoon, especially in the summer months when the sun creates an ideal setting for a leisurely stroll. When the sun is shining it is also worthwhile heading down to the pebble beach to soak up the rays next to the azure blue waters.
