Naples Beverello Ferry Port

Beverello is situated in the city of Naples, resting on the west coast of Italy, bordering the Tyrrhenian Sea. The ferry routes departing the port are to neighbouring islands around Italy such as Sicily, and other coastal resorts on the mainland.

What is there to do in Beverello?

Beverello is the quintessential Italian town – the piazzas are lined with cosy cafes serving delicious coffee and the streets are adorned by a mix of colourful and whitewashed houses, designed to stave off the intense Mediterranean heat. Throughout the year it remains an oasis of cool, calm and charm, never becoming overwhelmed by the influx of modern tourism. The town may have gone relatively unnoticed amidst the rise in prominence of Italy’s west coast, but those who have visited laud over the sumptuous pizza which has come to define Beverello. Di Machele is the most popular restaurant in town – you will typically have to wait a while for a table – but the fresh pizza makes it worthwhile. A few hotels and apartments are ideal for spending a few days in the quaint town, especially outlined to appeal to families hoping for a relaxing vacation or couples longing for a romantic getaway.

How do you get around Beverello?

The town is very small and compact, so most choose to walk around the picturesque streets.

Ustica Guide

Ustica Guide

Ustica is an island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, 32 miles north of Capo Gallo, Italy. The island is connected to Palermo by regular ferry and hydrofoil services. The tiny volcanic island of Ustica has a length of only 6 miles across and is the summit of a large submerged volcano. As a reflection to both the island’s origin and the blackness of its lava, the name Ustica derives from the Latin word Ustum meaning ‘burnt’. The main town on the island can be reached from a single road leading up to various flights of steps. Here you will see the peculiar local houses with their external walls all painted with unique murals of landscapes, portraits and much more. The island has a jagged coastline which shelters a range of wonderful caves, bays and creeks. Another feature of the island’s volcanic origin is its relatively deep dives which makes Ustica a perfect place for scuba diving.
