Forming part of the Ionian Islands, Paxi is one of the smaller island groups belonging to Greece. The only ferry routes departing the port are to Brindisi and Otranto, and are supplied by Liberty Lines and Red Star Ferries.
Sami can be found on the east side of the popular island of Kefalonia (or Cephalonia as its also know) in the Ionian Island region of Greece. Sami is set in a wide bay with a long tree-lined waterfront and wonderful views across to the island of the neighbouring island of Ithaca. The beautiful coastal town of Sami is around 24 km east of Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia and provides the island with its second largest port with numerous crossings on offer. The modern village is built close to ancient Sami, one of the most important archeological discoveries of Kefalonia.
